Kindle Redesign

UI/UX Design
Project Overview
I've always had an ambivalent relationship with the kindle app. The reading interface and the typeface "Bookerly" are well-designed. Regardless, the "Home" page keeps me from enjoying the app thoroughly. The main thing you see when you open the app is this giant calendar alongside a streak counter just as big. Although it could be pertinent information, the presentation is aggressive. The other thing you'll find on the "Home" page with abundance is purchase suggestions for books. You can again find these on the "Discovery" page. While studying the app's functionality, I discovered you could create "collections" with your books. Making them wasn't an intuitive process. Finding them after being created was even less so. This redesign exercise will focus on improving the "Home" page experience.
