I SEE YOU

I SEE YOU was a final project done for the class that introduced me to HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I used my knowledge of JavaScript to make a playful interactive experience. The site has three pages with a consistent theme. I have written at the top of each, “I SEE YOU.” Each word is clickable and takes the user to a different site page. At the top right, I’ve also added an image of an arrow key that points suspiciously at the position of the user’s cursor. The difference between the three pages is the behavior of the disembodied eyes, which take center stage. On one page, a waterfall of eyes glides down the page, stopping—perhaps to watch us more closely—whenever we stop moving the mouse. On another, some snake-like creature made out of eyes trails behind the cursor. My objective was to use JavaScript interaction to illustrate how a digital system, with the right code, can become a thing that “looks back” at us.
